Privacy notice
How C2 Construction handles the personal information you send us, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated November 2026. This notice is issued under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible
C2 Construction is the responsible party for the personal information described here. That means we decide what is collected and what it is used for, and we are accountable for looking after it.
You can reach us about anything on this page:
- Email: info@c2holdings.co.za

What we collect
When you complete the quote request form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the suburb or area of the property, the service you are asking about, and whatever you write in the description. If you contact us on WhatsApp we receive your phone number and the messages you send, including any photographs you choose to share.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which record the IP address, browser and pages requested for every visit. These are a security and troubleshooting record and are not used to build a profile of you.
We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and the fonts and images are served from our own server rather than a third-party network. The only cookies set are the ones WordPress needs to keep a logged-in member of staff signed in, which are not set for ordinary visitors.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and carry out the work if you accept it. POPIA allows this because the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract afterwards. Ticking the consent box on the form is your agreement to us contacting you about that specific enquiry.
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing messages unless you separately ask us to.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else to market to you. It is seen by our own staff, and by the operators we rely on to run the business: our web host, which stores the site and its database, and our email provider, which carries the message to us. Both act as operators on our instructions and are required to keep it confidential.
On a specific job we may need to pass details to a subcontractor, engineer or supplier working on that project, or to your insurer where the work is insurance-driven. We share only what that person needs to do their part.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for two years, so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us, and then deleted. Records relating to completed work are kept for the periods required by tax and company law, and for as long as we could reasonably be asked to answer for the workmanship.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, form submissions are sent over an authenticated and encrypted mail connection, and access to the website administration is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask us to:
- confirm what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- delete information we no longer have a reason to keep
- stop using it for a particular purpose, including withdrawing consent you gave earlier
- object to processing you believe is unjustified
Ask us and we will action it. Withdrawing consent does not undo anything done before you withdrew it, and we may need to keep records we are legally required to hold.
If you are not satisfied
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, which supervises compliance with POPIA. Its current contact details are published at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top. Anything that materially affects you will be brought to your attention rather than left here to be found.
